The Nile Research Institute

The Nile Research Institute (NRI) is one of twelve research institutes under the National Water Research Center (NWRC) of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of Egypt. Although the institute was named in the mid-1990s, it has been operational for many years under different names. In 1992, the institute reached a significant milestone in its growth and recognition as an important institution dedicated to Egypt and the Nile River. The NRI is primarily responsible for conducting applied research at the highest policy-making level to support Egypt’s water resources management and development.
